On Friday, TMZ revealed documents that prove the reality TV star Kim Kardashian, 40, filed for divorce, requesting joint legal and physical custody of her and Kanye West’s four kids: North, 7, Saint,5, Chicago, 3, and psalm, 1.
All born between the years of 2013-2019. This was also confirmed by CNN reports obtained from a court clerk for Los Angeles Superior Court. Christy Welder, Kim’s representative, confirmed that but said the reality star had no comments on this latest development.
There has been no opposition from Kanye, and it seems this is a mutual separation. Kanye has been living in their home in Wyoming while Kim stayed with their kids in California.
Kim and Kanye got married in 2014 in an extravagant wedding in Italy after meeting in the early 2000s. The infamous proposal of Kanye West to Kim Kardashian happened in a sports stadium which he rented out and hired an orchestra with her family, observing the memorable moment.
Over the years they have supported each other in instances like the robbery which happened to Kim in 2016 in Paris. Kim has also been vocal about her support for her husband during various controversial issues like the Taylor Swift scandal, political issues, and his struggle with me.
She even showed her support last summer in a social media post.
“I understand Kanye is subject to criticism because he is a public figure, and his actions at times can cause strong opinions and emotions”.
Signs of this pending crash arose during West’s run for the presidency in the 2020 election, where he gave a heartfelt speech. Still, this episode was branded to be one of his maniac moments due to his struggle with bipolar disorder.
He said: “Even if my wife wants to divorce me after this speech, she brought North into the world even when I didn’t want to.”
